Increase Your Performance Skills!

Our next term (7 weeks) of this on-going group* will run from Saturday 13th April to Saturday 25th May 2024.

• *Please note, you can join us at any point during the term, you don't need to wait until the start of the next term.

 

Our Songbirds Singing Groups take place face-to-face at our venue near Glasgow City Centre, on a Saturday morning (10.30am - 12.30pm). They are also available to join online, if you are not able to come along in person in Glasgow.

 

This group is for you if:

• You want to build on your singing experience and further develop your voice
• You want to become more confident in performing songs

 

In our Songbirds Groups there is some focus on performance, but there is no pressure to take part in performances if you don't feel quite ready yet. We will warn you however that many people have started off feeling reticent about performing only to become addicted to the experience!

Our repertoire of songs is extensive and varied, and we are always open to suggestions for new additions.

FACE-TO-FACE SATURDAY SONGBIRDS SINGING GROUP

ONLINE SATURDAY SONGBIRDS SINGING GROUP

Book your place (£9.50) for our next online class on Saturday 4th May 2024 (10.30am - 12.30pm):

 

We are using the Zoom video conferencing app for our online Singing Groups. Once you have signed up, we will send you details of how to download and use the app and how to join the session.

 

 If you are new to singing, we also periodically run a 12-week Beginners Singing Course.

 

Group Membership

• You can choose to pay weekly (via the links below) for up to 3 weeks* after which we will require you to set up an automatic weekly payment for the remainder of the term. This will be set up through our membership site (The Ladies Room). We will give you instructions on how to do this.

• As well as covering your weekly class you will also gain access to recordings of the classes, in the event of unavoidable absence. In addition, you will be able to make use of the audio practice tracks for the songs we are working on and other useful resources.

*You don't need to wait for 3 weeks before setting up your automatic payment, this is purely to allow you a trial period, but we are confident that you will love it, so you can do this earlier if you wish

Once set up, the automatic payment will last for the duration of the term and will require to be reactivated at the beginning of each new term.

 

 

In our Saturday Songbirds Group you will:

• Learn singing techniques to strengthen your voice
• Work on multi-part harmony arrangements
• Polish your performance skills
• Have the chance to showcase what you’ve learned

 

To help you learn more about your voice, we cover all aspects of vocal technique in the classes, through working on a variety of songs.

There are no auditions and you don't have to be able to read music.

 

 

We continue to build on our repertoire of songs for performance, and there are frequent opportunities to perform at external events.
