What’s In A Name?

The name Lyra embodies music and harmony. In Greek mythology, Orpheus charmed both the gods and nature with his beautiful lyre music. In the heavens, the northern constellation Lyra is said to represent Orpheus’ lyre. Our music is made by combining the voices of individual women, each with its own distinct story, personality and sound, to create enchanting harmonies. We want all women to experience for themselves the healing and connecting power of music.

 

We run Singing Groups in Glasgow, helping women develop their voices and learn to sing with confidence. We pride ourselves on creating a warm, relaxed environment where we encourage women to be themselves and let their own personalities shine through music.
